In support of the local community, Perth Home Grown offers a weekly changing variety of stalls focusing on wholesome goodness, sustainable options and eco-friendly living. Having started off as part of ‘Eat Drink’ Perth festival, this market advocates for local and organic produce sourced directly from farmers markets.
To satiate your tastebuds while you shop, there are plenty of ready-to-eat food at the market, including home baked ‘cronuts’, traditional lemonade, sweet and savoury crepes, bratwurst and plenty more.
To promote sustainable living, there are micro-herbs and urban gardening on show for all types of living spaces; while crafted knick-knacks such as handmade aprons and bags made from recycled fabric and leather will be on sale as well. There were also plenty of stalls to sample from the Raw Food Movement.
The home-grown vibe continues into the afternoon with live and local musicians entertaining the crowd. So much more then just the usual supermarket fare, you can enjoy country goodness right in the city centre.
