After taking the east coast by transcendental storm, the psych-rock guys Moses Gunn Collective are now making waves in the west thanks to their polyrhythmic contrasts and experimental vibes. After a sold-out Brisbane single release for “Shalala,” and following the upcoming Australian tour with The Jungle Giants, “Back into the Womb” is a vibrant, acid-tongued taste of the infusion of dream pop, and soulful rock that we can expect off the debut album Mercy Mountain, which is set to be released later this year. Its tranquil hooks, and bittersweet falsettos are sure to lull anyone into an exploration of tones and harmonies. Aimed at channeling the naivety we tend to lose as we grow older, “Back into the Womb” will allow the mind to ignite and through its complex score, will hopefully remind the child in you to stay young and keep it simple.
