On January 3, UK trio The Wombats will perform their only Australian headline show at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. And with Brisbane four piece Last Dinosaurs just announced as the support act, this is one show not to be missed.
Last Dinosaurs have emerged from the Sunshine State’s bubbling indie scene to capture the hearts and ears of listeners across the world. Having just released their second album Wellness, which debuted in the top 20 of the ARIA Album Chart, their Triple J supported national album tour saw the band travel across six states to headline some of the biggest venues of their career.
The Wombats have just been added to the Falls Festival line-ups in Byron NSW and Marion Bay TAS, as well as Southbound Festival. The British trio were in Australia earlier this year, playing to an enthusiastic crowd at Splendour In The Grass.
The Wombats have just wrapped up their US tour and are currently making their way across the UK and Europe in support of their third album Glitterbug, which scored a Triple J feature album that debuted at #2 on the ARIA charts. The album features their latest sing The English Summer as well as Greek Tragedy, Give Me a Try, and Your Body is a Weapon.
The Wombats made their Splendour debut in 2008 with killer tracks from their debut album A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation. Their previous album This Modern Glitch with its hit singles Tokyo and Jump Into The Fog saw The Wombats build on the initial success of their debut album as it also reached #2 on the ARIA album chart and achieving platinum sales.
