Everything is made fresh from scratch, which means great salads, sandwiches, cakes and all the rest you would expect from a great café.

There is always a line for coffee, all the tables are full over the weekend and the staffs are friendly. And when a café is on Wray Avenue, the breakfast corner of Fremantle, you can’t afford to Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetmiss a beat. Unlike many of the cafes in Fremantle stacked up with milk crates and chic furniture – Lenny the Ox consisted of simple interior with white walls contrasted with the deep red Jarrah.

The menu is small but consists of ingredients that are well thought out and straight to the point menu. Prices range from $11 for your everyday eggs & toast to $21.50 for a salmon omelette with smoked curd, beetroot and avocado. But if you are after a healthy kick-start for your mornings, give the porridge filled with oatmeal crumble, rhubarb and apple ($19) a try.

A good cup of coffee Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetis always the main attraction in any café and Lenny’s coffee choice is by Crema Gourmet Coffee Rosters. They have an 8-bean blend made specifically for them and trust me it is good! While ordering coffee, why not grab a cake or muffin that is perfectly showcased on the counter. Their homemade treats are too good to pass up!

Lenny the Ox caters perfectly to the things people seek out in Fremantle and it’s the perfect breakfast spot for an early weekend start. So when you’re on your lunchbreak this week, take a walk to Wray Avenue and check out Freo’s newest hangout, Lenny the Ox.
