RTRFM, the popular community-run radio station, has partnered with the State Library of Western Australia, or more specifically, their film archives. Local musical talent have composed musical pieces to fit film and photography from decades past, combining to bring these old clips of Perth to life in a unique and creative way.
Ten of WA’s local talents will take to the stage at two of the city’s own venues, Fremantle’s newest live local music venue Rock Rover, and the newly revamped The Aardvark.
RTRFM are a not-for-profit, independent radio station based in Perth. Centred around the community, the station is solely supported through the subscriptions and kind donations of their listeners. The Radiothon is an annual fundraising drive which makes up more than a third of the station’s operating income, allowing them to produce high quality music all year round.
