Supporting your local bands has never been more refreshing.

Supporting small-time local bands has never been easier as Fremantle’s Otherside Brewing Co. provide an easy and awesome opportunity for small-time musicians with little income.
Otherside Brewing Co. are funding two grants open to local musicians with the National Touring Grant ($5,000) and the International Development Grant ($2,500). “Having been a part of the music and culture business for many years, we recognise the decline in funding available to musicians in Australia” says the brewing company’s Julia Tompkin. At the moment, the funding is only available to musicians from WA but are hoping with the expansion of funding, to make the competition open to musicians across Australia by 2018. Last year, the Grant was awarded to Freo band, Koi Child and gave the band the opportunity to travel to the US.
Applications for the National Touring Grant are now open to an “emerging or established group or solo artist” and entries close COB (WA time) Friday, 16 June. The winners will be chosen by esteemed professionals in the music industry and will be announced Friday, June 30.
