Act-Belong-Commit Zig Zag Festival Community Arts Festival is set to return to Kalamunda on Sunday October 28. The festival is new and improved, and bigger and better than before!
Zig Zag is a not-for-profit group run by volunteers to promote the arts and community action in the hill and foothill communities within the City of Kalamunda.
It would be a shame to miss out on the amazing activities the festival has in store. Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics will be headlining one of the five stages packed with live music. Other festive treats include local artists’ exhibitions, and fun family attractions like face-painting, a kids’ zone, petting zoo, plenty of market stalls and heaps of free activities in Stirk Park.
In a recent release, festival co-director Celia Cheffins said, “This is a community gathering that celebrates everything that is good about Kalamunda. It will bring the community together like never before.”
The festival is supported by Act-Belong-Commit, an organisation that aims to increase individual and community wellbeing by improving and strengthening connections between community members.
City of Kalamunda Mayor John Giardina told press, “We’ve got a jam-packed program with something for all interest. It’s sure to be an amazing day and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
