Dummies at the Fringe!

Dummies Corp. is a multi-award-winning circus that is returning to Perth Fringe World and Adelaide Fringe Festival in the summertime of 2019. Their international hit shows are “Trash Test Dummies” and “Splash Test Dummies” and are sure to bring great success in the 2019 season!

They have performed over 500 times for Australian and UK audiences. As usual there will be new exhilarating tricks and surprises to ensure the audience is overwhelmed by belly-aching laughter.

The company was founded by three skilled comedians/circus performers, Jack Coleman, Jamie Bretman and Simon Wright. Their acts are intended to be interactive and aim to entertain audiences of all ages by incorporating adrenaline-building stunt work, breathtaking acrobatics, physical comedy and some hilarious and witty innuendo for the not so easily pleased.

Dummies Corp. has one several awards. Their side-splitting slapstick act has received positive feedback around the globe and took the title for Best Children Presentation at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2015 and 2016. For the last three years, Dummies Corp. has been selling out shows around the world. So, it will be interesting to see what their return show to Adelaide will bring.

Another famous act they perform is Trash Test Dummies, which involves humorous next level wheelie-bin action. Perth fans will be delighted to hear that Amy Nightingale-Olsen, Perth-born dummy, will be the first female dummy to take the stage. It’s expected that this new addition will bring a unique energy and high-flying tricks to the Fringe world stage. Two remarkable comedians, Thomas McDonald and Leigh Rhodes will be performing alongside the acrobatic dummy. Green Room Award winner Claire Bartholomew will direct Splash Test Dummies; the viewers should feel assured that this is a performance worth attending.

Melbourne viewers won’t be missing out either! Dummies Corp. will debut their first ever all female cast production in the newly ensembled show Slapdash Dummies, which incorporates the standard acrobatics, comedy and character that defines the company, but will aim to be so imaginative that it will boost the reputation and success of this already striving company.
