Come down to the 2018 Make Smoking History Canning Show!
The Show Days included a full scheduled sixteen-hour show. The night will have music, sideshow alley, delicious food, and impressive exhibits, on trend market stalls, animals and great showbags, as well as the famous fireworks on Friday night. Enjoy the amazing ZAP Circus, have fun at Sideshow Alley and enjoy the roving entertainment!
On Saturday the show rolls on with exhibits put on by the local community, stilt-walking fun, face painting, petting farms and an array of activities and demonstrations for the whole family.
And the fun continues on Sunday with The Showtime Talent Quest finals, showcasing and discovering talented local acts on the rise. All ages and abilities will be auditioned in two heats, demonstrating there is no shortage of talent in the region.
The Cannington Agricultural, Horticultural and Recreational Society and the City of Canning have joined together to bring you a “Live at” concert series at this year’s show.
The Merida’s, supported by Adam Hall and the Playboys, and the WAM award-nominated The Bambuseae Rhythm Section are playing in concert on Saturday the 3rd of November.
Some other performers include C&J Rockin, an up-and-coming group consisting of Charlie, who is 11 years old, Jack, who is eight years old and Dudek, who plays an awesome blues guitar duet with “Bad Moon Rising.” Then we have Naomi Strickland and Sophie, two nine-year-olds playing together in what is sure to be spectacular! Sophie will accompany Naomi on the saxophone for the show.
If music isn’t your thing, meet Chef Dale or the talented painter Jackie Peach!
Whether you knit, bake, paint draw or busk on the streets, there’s something for everyone at the Show.
The event runs from TODAY 5pm- 10 pm til Saturday the 3rd of November at 9am – 10 pm. Adults are $11 and children under 16 are free. Tickets are available at Eventbrite or at the Cannington Exhibition Centre and Showgrounds.
