(A Day on the Green, 2018)
‘A Day on the Green’ is known for delivering stand-out music performances all around Australia, and 2019 is going to be no exception with amazing artists already confirmed for the early months of the year. With a star-studded line-up, including famous names like Kylie Minogue, Bryan Adams, and the recently announced Hot Chili Peppers, there will be music for everyone no matter what state you live in!
Bryan Adams, the Canadian superstar himself, is playing shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Wollongong next year and has added two special ‘A Day on the Green’ performances to his list of appearances. From one coast to the other, he’ll be in New South Wales, performing at the Hunter Valley event on March 23rd, followed by a visit to Perth to perform at the stunning Kings Park and Botanical Gardens on March 27th. Bryan is a legend in the music industry and has knocked up Grammys, Academy Awards, and Golden Globe nominations for his feel-good rock ‘n’ roll vibe. He’ll surely be one to catch before all the tickets are snatched up!
Australia’s own Kylie Minogue will be returning to the ‘A Day on the Green’ line up with shows in Perth, Hunter Valley, and Mt Cotton. The dates are additions to her Golden Tour which will be making its way around the country early 2019 with what is sure to be a showstopping performance. Her ‘A Day on the Green performances’ will span from March 9th, through March 16th, and finally March 17th respectively, bringing her number one albums and 16-time ARIA award-winning hits with her. This will be Minogue’s first performance in Australia since her Kiss Me Once Tour back in 2015, and is sure to be a hit, the album Golden constructed as the narrative of her career, including hits like The Loco-Motion, Spinning Around, and newer numbers Dancing and Stop Me From Falling.
Only recently announced, the Hot Chili Peppers will make their long-awaited return to Australia with their nation-wide tour, including an exclusive ‘A Day on the Green’ appearance. Needless to say, if you’re in Geelong near the Mt. Duneed Estate on March 2nd, you’ll want to make it to this performance. Their funk-rock sound will grace the ears of Australians after 12 years touring the North America and Europe with extraordinary success, their 2017 and 2018 tours selling out in both continents. They’re looking forward to their return, stating in a recent release, “We can’t wait to see all our fans in Australia and New Zealand – it has been too long.” They are expected to play popular hits Dark Necessities, The Getaway, and classic hits like Snow (Hey Oh), Otherside, Californication, Under The Bridge and Give It Away.”
With this line-up still growing, it’s clear that the ‘A Day on the Green’ festivals of 2019 will not be ones to miss!
