Mojos filled with people on Friday night to see The Tommyhawks’ EP release, Bedroom, and they did not disappoint. With an awesome support set from Leon, Last Quokka and Timothy Nelson, all blowing the crowd away with their awesome stage presence and great sound.

There was no question of who was playing when the room filled with the sound of a saxophone that cut through the conversation and made the entire bar¬†quiet waiting for the Tommyhawks to begin. Before long they had the entire crowd jumping up and down to their ‘grunge-y’ tunes that really showed off their punk side compared to the more toned down recorded versions.

¬†They ended the night with a sing a long to their track “Oh My Love” and “New Friend” before coming back on for an encore for the enthusiastic crowd. Their stage presence and the intimate atmosphere they created brought a new element to their music and it is certain that they will continue to blow away crowds on the rest of their tour across Australia.
