The Halo Leadership Development Agency is a non-profit which strives to advance Hopes, Aspirations and Leadership Opportunities.
Unfortunately, eight out of 10 juveniles leaving West Australian detention centres return. And this is where Halo steps in. Halo offers a chance to young Aboriginal men who have recently been through the justice system, and need encouragement not to reoffend.
The program offers the youth life and career coaching programs – and works on the expectation that people will succeed, no matter the time frame. Participants in the programs work on all areas of their lives, including their social, physical and emotional wellbeing – factors that will affect them in later life.
The team also provides life-coaching workshops that contribute towards not only strengthening the resilience of the young men who deliver the workshops, but also allowing the participants take control of their own lives.
